Finally we have had it done, a load off my mind I can tell you.

Hope it pleased the neighbour but I saw she was taking pictures lol, she will never be satisfied.

Next thing we have to do for her lady ship next door when we have the funds is get the stumps grinded next to her fence then replace her posts and fences.

Hopefully then she will get off our backs at long last and not take us to court yet again.

There were 9 conifers felled in the front garden and two at the back plus other stumps we had down in the new yr, but no pics of the back as they came down very early this morning and I didn't have chance to take pics..

We can now see into the vicars bedroom windows, hope she doesn't mind.

Some b4 some after pics.

This one is the last of 9 which came down, most were conifers one was a beautiful cherry blossom but oh well, its done now..

This  is the tree shredder and lorry and trailer waiting to take all the logs away.

A load of branches to get rid off in the tree gobler machine as I call it.

This one Shaun was right at the top of the tree, seemed a long way up there but he took them down bit by bit rather than felling them.

Cherry picker with a helper and my son in law to the left.

After they were down. All the stumps that you can see were trees. It's very bare but we will get used to it. I love trees.

It is a real shame that you had to remove so many lovely trees just so the neighbours fencing wouldn't be hurt. For goodness sake, trees are the lungs of the world and I for one would sooner have living trees, shrubs, bushes etc used as a boundary rather than boring wooden fencing! Maybe the height of them could be a dispute, I believe fences are only allowed to be 6ft tall so I'm guessing that could apply to trees too.  Such a shame you couldn't have cut the trees down a little to please the neighbour but I'm sure you explored all avenues leading up to and since the solicitors letter..........

 Thanx for your comments all.

When she got a solicitor onto us, we made it very clear in our letter back to them that all the work  would

be carried out but we didn't say when.

She will have to wait until maybe next spring for the other work to be done.

It's a pretty big garden Caz, that was just a quarter of the front garden.

Her fence goes all the way from front to back  and because of our tree roots some have got underneath and lifted a few posts and made some panels lean.

Which is fair enough but the fence has been there 25 years when she first put it up and we planted the trees after.

These  pictures. all those trees up against her fence have gone now, I haven't taken any after pictures yet but there's only three trees standing now. That's just a quarter of the back garden so its a lot to keep up in itself without having to do other stuff.

I think I have told most of you why we liked the trees so high as her new boyfriend likes to exercise and hang the washing out starkers.

On that note we have all the family coming round for afternoon bar-be in the garden, a late birthday tea for Andy, he's been milking his birthday for a few days now.

I do hope the weather cheers up a bit.

WOW! I imagined you had acres of land, almost like an orchard for the need to remove so many trees. Your pics reveal a much smaller area for so many trees and hope you can at last call a truce with neighbours now they're felled. Life really is too short for conflict x
