                 Kind of a mixed start to Thursday with blue and grey skies. Opening shift at Harrods for me I thought my voluntary work was over for the week but the phone just went and can I stand in and me being me said yes.

Ere Denzil sed Slipalong av e ever backed on oss at one o they bookies? Ess sed Den I ave and ad a winner why do e ask mate , well sed Slip I backed one at 20 to 1 and it cane in at twenty past four, so I guess I lost me money.

                    A fair start to hump day as you will see from the picture. Yes it is Sue I fondly remember that day and meeting Andy and you. Quite a busy day for me as I have a meeting in church concerning the heating the the closing shift at Harrods .Ooops phone call can I go and do two breakfast the Aussie couple stayed a night longer than planned  all done and dusted off to my church meeting now no peace for the wicked.

               Not a bad start to the day with clear skies. Well Rosario closes as a B and B  this morning after nearly 30 years I will be going there shortly to do the last breakfasts, a sad day indeed.

                  Well its got the makings of a nice day so far fingers crossed. Sue I have 110percent confidence in the Doctor the one I saw was the one who saved my life last Christmas, sadly he is retired now and only does locum work, everyone who has been seen by him speak very highly of him.

Not much going on here today just the closing shift at Harrods.

                   Its silly season down here Mz has no vacancies full to the top, huge queues of people for the boats to the Mount and Pasties , soon it will be quieter when the children go back to school.  Waiting  for a phone call from the surgery as I need to see the Doc. I have had this cough since last May and so far nothing has moved it to say I am fed up with it is an understatement.

                Be afraid, very afraid, its a Bank Holiday and the sun is shining how scary is that Due to high winds the Beach Service was held in Church. My Roast Lamb was out of this world so tasty I enjoyed every mouthful and I put one up for a friend of mine who lives just about 50 yards away.

               The sun is out the sky is blue not sure for how long though.Yes its a fine morning in Rockyland  long may it last sez I, we shall see. Every year the Church has an annual beach service and today is the day at 2pm below the Sailing Club with Penxance Silver Band providing the music as the organ is a bit to heavy to carry all that way. Have a wonderful day.

                Now hear this, we have a flood warning but no rain is forecast how crazy is that. Right now we have blue skies and a bit of sun , not a lo. I phoned the firm about my Dads Medals yesterday and they will be another three weeks so they will be here in plenty of time for Armistice Day.

                 Tiz a wonderous wet gloomy day here in the far South West I am beside myself with fed upness. Clare I done know about that but I have lived here for 51 years now and I wouldnt want to live anywhere else having said that I do miss my family very much.  A free day for me with sweet nothing to do amd all day to do it in.
