                There goes summer and school is'nt out yet. We gave a Yellow warning for heavy Thunderstorms till tomorrow evening so it's batten down the hatches and keep dry.

Wanna tell you a story.

The Mermaid of Zennor.

A long time ago there lived a beautiful mermaid who lived in the sea just off Zennor, this poor thing was threatened by the Sea Wtich who as  very ugly and very jealous of the young mermaid The Sea witch kept on threatening her nearly everyday, in the end the young mermaid confronted the Sea Witch and aske her to stop, why should I asked the Witch I am old and ugly and you are young and beautiful. I will do anything you ask of me said the young mermaid, anything said the witch yes anything at all. Right said the witch I want you to get a human to live with you under the sea for the rest of your life then I will leave you in peace . the young mermaid agreed to this and off they both went. Now the young mermaid had previously spotted a young man in the Hamlet of Zennor so she approached him with her plan, when he heard it he said but I can't live in water I will , wa

drown, no you won't with my special powers I will make you a merman and you will be quite safe so off they went and to this day you can occasionally see them sunbathing on thr rocks below Zennor, wander into the church and you will see the young mermaid in a stained glass window.

              Pom my soul some one left the street lights on, oh no its the sun is'nt that lovely for hump day. Those two over St Just will go down in Cornish Folklore history, there is a whisper that Slipalong might be co-opted on to the Town Council I shall have  a wee walk dreckly methinks good to be out in the sunshine.

               Forget about the weather it's crap as always.

Ere  Denzil ollered Slip along do e no wh dogs is always sniffin their bums Oh My Life sed Denzil i avent a clue but I thinks you is goin to tell me, to rite i am see I bin doin sum research into it and pon my soul I found wot I wuz lookin fer. Shal we ave a pint an set down sde Denzil ess best do that sed Slip, well see wot appened woz long time ago all the dogs were at a gran dance in this ere posh place ad cloke ruums as well it did, we on goin in all rhe dogs ad to chck their bums into one of these ere clokeruums they di see. Well about three hours later they all were avin so much fun when a fire broke out  and in the panic thet follered all the dogs grabbed the first bum they cud lay there paws on and stuck where it belonged to be , Ah mighty strange sed Denzil then wot appened well get us anuther pint and I tell ee.Well see sed Slip when two dogs meet wot is one of the furst things they do? Sniff rheir bums sed Denzil thats rite mate sed Slip to this day they are still tryin yo find their own bum, well pon my soul sed Denzil yer cud well be rite me auld mate Slipalong ad a smug smile on is face,

               Grey skies greeted me this morning not nice at all. Two more ships are at anchor in the bayboth are general cargo ships and are namely  Bakken Lady and the Porsgrunin and of course the Newlyn fishing fleet in and out like fiddlers elbows.

              Sunshine, Cloud it can't make up its mind today so we will have to settle for that. I finally met the Bishop yesterday and what a charming man he was, he took the wind right out of my sails when he said that I was a former Town Councillor. that is doing your homework to the Neth degree wow I had quite a good chat with him before ne moved on.

              Doom and gloom returns to Rockyland this morning. A new ship has arrived in the bay this morning  a French cargo  ship by the name of Aethra who knows how long she will stay. Today is meet our new Bishop day, on the e mail I was sent someone mixed up the dates silly billy's.
