It was a special day .,,, very motional,,, the TV coverage was good... A day that means a lot to people who were born around that time. Thanks for the report Rocky... glad it is a day you will remember.

             What a special and emotional day it was. I was up at 4am and had breakfast while posting on here at 6.30am we sang the first verse of the National Anthem , the Rev, Sophie then led prayers followed by the Mayor reading out the names of the local men who had fallen in WW2 The last post was sounded followed by 2 minutes silence rethe wreath was duly laid and we all went to the Warspite Memorial where a short service was held and a Commander from RNAS Culdrose laid a wreath. we then walked back to the Church where the good ladies had provided Bacon Baps and tea and coffee which rounded off the proceedings very nicely.

How special Rocky

               Early on parade this morning as I am attending the 80th D Day service at the War Memorial at 6.30 am , this was the time of the first landings on the beaches of Normandy the Town Mayor will lay a wreath and read out the names of all the men who gave their lives , we will also lay a wreath at the Warspite Memorial   as the ship was the first to open fire on the enemy.

               A fine start to Hump Day with blue and cloudy skies  with 12 degrees.Just the closing shift at Harrods today so quite an easy day for me. I am fed up with the election already  lies upon lies from both major parties  why do they do it, it is time we had a strong third party to challenge the Tories and Labour.

                 Tiz the season to be sunburnt or rusty what ever floats your boat, you would;nt get either here today as its grey and cloudy. Not much on today just the closing shift at Harrods , but the highlight of the day will be bringing the rubbish bin in again after our weekly collection  life in the jet set is;nt easy.

                       Well we had some sunshine but now its clouded over and rain is forecast later  would you believe  A peaceful day is planned but I must get onto TV Licencing  as they have put me under investigation for not having a licence but lo and behold i certainly do have one they should get their act together.

                Its the same as yesterday weather wise, sure it must improve soon  everyone is fed up with it. The Museum was good yesterday for my first shift we had about 50 people through plus children so I was happy with that. Today they are going to stick a needle in me again up at the surgery vampires they are after that I will close Harrods so quite a busy day.
