Sue there are far to many selfish people down here right now that is why  we are now in Tier 2 they just dont care anymore, I have had to cancel my New Years Day long lunch thanks to them, why dont they stay home.

Moan over for now we will see what the PM says later today, personally I hope he locks the country down but i doubt he will.

Boxing Day was good with plenty of food and drink lots of fun and laughter to go with it so a good day.

Poor old Slipalong went to the Star inbi  St Just for a beer and he sees a dog lying quietly on the floor so he said to the chap close to him does your dog bite no sez the chap so Slipalong bends down to stroke it and gets bitten  ere sez  e to the chap I thought you sed your dog didnt bite the chap replied it isnt my dog

A great day was had in Rockyland despite all the pandemic goings on, drinks with friends round at Maureen and Mikes  , present opening with much laughter then we put up a meal for a blind chap in town Maureen delivered that while Mike and I went over to the Godolphin for a beer wonderful happy greeting for us and a drink on the house the restaurant was full of people dining and making merry, Maureen soon joined us so we had another drink to keep her company well it was polite wasnt it .

I think it was about 4.30 before we had our meal and jolly nice it was, after cheese biscuits and port we had a quiz to round things off, I finaally got home about 8.30  and went off to bed and slept like a log.

Boxing Day is here and we start all over again.

Happy Christmas Eve to you all ,  it is a strange Christmas this year but we must enjoy it as best we can I am spending the day with friends which will be good.

Now Cornwall is in  Tier 2 not nice, I was in the Kings yesterday when 2 people came in from Tier 3 shock horror  if it had been me I would have refused them entry, why are people so stupid?

Years ago a great storm blew up preventing the ships going to sea to catch fish, the tiny village of Mouzel and its people were starving having nothing to eat.

One of its residents name of Tom Bawcock  launched his boat and went to sea and managed to catch 7 sorts of fish, these they put in a pie now called Starry Gazy Pie

This is the sang they wrote and sang in celebration.

And when up caame Tom Bawcock's name, we'd prais'd 'un to the sky."

Well done "Harrods" my favourite shop in MZ

The Christmas Fayre raised £856 which was a jolly good effort by all concerned , donation keep pouring in and our stock rooms are full to bursting point.

When you wake this morning please take a few minutes to remember the eight extremely brave, fearless and selfless lifeboatmen, all sons of Mousehole, who made the ultimate sacrifice on the 19th December 1981. Their courage, dedication, determination, valour and heroism serves as a beacon to us all. Gone but never forgotten...greater love hath no man.

A quiet day is planned for today with a shift at Harrods and then the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Award at the Town Hall at 3.30 this afternoon, the person getting it formed a Covid Support Group in Marazion and has worked tirelessly at it so it is well deserved.

The weather looks bad today so staying in is no bad thing.

Ere Denzil sez Slipalong I do see that the maid Morwenna  down Sennen got an MBE from the Queen, ess you is right Slipalong she deserved  spending all that time on er back, do e naw what MBE stand fer , naw i dusnt tell us sed Slipalong, well it stands fer Me Back Erts .

  Myttin Da Rockyland fans Nadelik Lowen. A dark and dreary start to the day, just a shift in the charity shop this morning from 10am to 12 noon followed by some housework including ironing has to be done so i had better and get on with it.

A very good council meeting last night which was over by 8.30pm all we really had to do was approve the budget for 2021/2022 and few few other details.

Its the last council meeting of the year tonight the next one will be on the 5th January usually after the meeting we have a little social gathering but sadly not this year, I do miss not having the meetings in the Chamber oh well maybe next year.
