   Once again         Rockyland is bathed in glorious sunshine  this Wednesday  morning but with a little bit of cloud. I have no news of the Penlee Lifeboat shout yesterday so I presume it was a training session.

             Rockyland is bathed in glorious sunshine  this Tuesday morning no ships are at anchor in the bay so all is peaceful just as I like it The Penlee lifeboat launched this morning but I have no details of why, I will check their web site later and report tomorrow.

                There goes summer and school is'nt out yet. We gave a Yellow warning for heavy Thunderstorms till tomorrow evening so it's batten down the hatches and keep dry.

Wanna tell you a story.

The Mermaid of Zennor.

A long time ago there lived a beautiful mermaid who lived in the sea just off Zennor, this poor thing was threatened by the Sea Wtich who as  very ugly and very jealous of the young mermaid The Sea witch kept on threatening her nearly everyday, in the end the young mermaid confronted the Sea Witch and aske her to stop, why should I asked the Witch I am old and ugly and you are young and beautiful. I will do anything you ask of me said the young mermaid, anything said the witch yes anything at all. Right said the witch I want you to get a human to live with you under the sea for the rest of your life then I will leave you in peace . the young mermaid agreed to this and off they both went. Now the young mermaid had previously spotted a young man in the Hamlet of Zennor so she approached him with her plan, when he heard it he said but I can't live in water I will , wa

drown, no you won't with my special powers I will make you a merman and you will be quite safe so off they went and to this day you can occasionally see them sunbathing on thr rocks below Zennor, wander into the church and you will see the young mermaid in a stained glass window.

              Pom my soul some one left the street lights on, oh no its the sun is'nt that lovely for hump day. Those two over St Just will go down in Cornish Folklore history, there is a whisper that Slipalong might be co-opted on to the Town Council I shall have  a wee walk dreckly methinks good to be out in the sunshine.
